Kromtak Grenache Noir 2025
Tasting Notes
A beautiful, vibrant ruby-red hue introduces this expressive 100% Grenache Noir. The nose is bursting with bright red and dark berry fruit, with aromas of ripe strawberry, raspberry and black cherry. On the palate these juicy fruit flavours carry through beautifully, complemented by subtle hints of spice that emerge towards the finish. Well balanced with accessible, firm tannins. Enjoy now or cellar for a few years.

Small block — 0.55 hectares in extent

Between 21.5 ˚B and 23.5 ˚B
Fermentation
As little intervention as possible. After maceration the grapes were left to cold soak for up to 48 hours, after which one punch-down a day was done to ensure gentle colour extraction and maximum natural primary grape flavours. No commercially produced yeast was added, and no enzymes or other products. After fermentation the wine and skins were left to marry for a further month before the wine was drawn off and put into older French barrels for maturation.
Analysis
Alc: 13.82% | RS: 2.2 g/l | TA: 6.0 g/l | pH: 3.39
One line to check: "to ensure minimum colour extraction" reads oddly — I've written it as "gentle colour extraction", but change it back if the original wording was deliberate.
